Refund Policy

Last updated: February 3, 2026

⚠️ Important Notice

Your right to withdraw and receive a refund does NOT apply once you have started to use the Service.

By accessing and using SecondBrain, you acknowledge that you will not be eligible for a refund.

14-Day Right of Withdrawal (For Consumers)

If you are a consumer (purchasing for personal use), you have the right to withdraw from this agreement and receive a full refund within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason.

However, this right does NOT apply once you have started using the Service. SecondBrain provides digital content and services that are made available immediately upon subscription. By subscribing and accessing the Service, you consent to immediate performance of this agreement and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal.

How to Request a Refund

All refund requests are handled by Paddle (our payment processor) on a case-by-case basis. Paddle has the sole discretion to approve or deny refund requests.

To request a refund, please contact Paddle directly through their support system.

Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will retain access to Pro features until that date
  • No further charges will be made
  • You can reactivate your subscription at any time

Note: Cancelling your subscription is different from requesting a refund. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund past payments.

Downgrading from Pro to Free

If you downgrade from Pro to Free:

  • You will retain Pro features until the end of your current billing period
  • After downgrade, content exceeding Free plan limits will remain accessible in read-only mode
  • You cannot add new content that exceeds Free plan limits until you upgrade again

Payment Processing by Paddle

All payments and refunds are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (for customers outside the United States) or Paddle.com Inc (for customers in the United States). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all transactions.
